Chipmakers among 15 U.S. firms eying $8 billion Vietnam investment – U.S. official

HANOI (Reuters) – Fifteen U.S. companies, including semiconductors firms, have expressed interest in investing $8 billion in Vietnam, contingent on the country’s commitment to renewable energy, a visiting senior U.S. official said on Friday.
